Watch retailing in Geneva has a new kid on the block with grand aspirations: MAVERICK. Perfectly located on the ground floor of the Grand Hotel Kempinski on the shores of the lake Geneva, this beautiful new boutique is an initiative fostered by Alexis and Gerard Gouten that brings together in one place the prestige of the great names of traditional watchmaking with modern creations of (often independent) brands.
“By definition, MAVERICK means to be independent, courageous, have a spirit of non-conventional, non-conformist, think and act differently. It is precisely in this spirit that we wanted to open a place of reference in Geneva for modern and international reputable watch retailing” said Alexis Gouten.
Against the flow of mono brand boutiques started by some of the big brands, MAVERICK aims to offer a well diversified selection targeted at watch fans who have exceeded the fetishism of the “big brand” and want strong emotions, bespoke offerings and unparalleled quality on their wrist.
MAVERICK Geneva promises to be the experimental laboratory which will test the paths of rebirth for a watch more substantial and more authentic.
The boutique carries the full collection of ATELIERS DEMONACO, as the brand is also trying to start and appeal to this new movement of people that do not want to confirm or settle for the dominance of the mass. And we hope not by accident, the first watch sold in the boutique: ATELIERS DEMONACO Quantieme Perpetual Calendar with EZ-Adjust system!
